In celebration of WOMEN EVERYWHERE, we are proud to highlight and bring focus to our RAN4Gals program hosted under the Makerere School of Public Health-ResilientAfrica Network (RAN). Over the course of 3 years, the program has successfully built the capacity of over 2000 girls through projects and programs like; the Bar Camps, the Ignite Innovator Series, Girl Rising Movie Nights in partnership with the Higher Education Solutions Network (HESN) and the Technovation Challenge (Global). RAN4Gals participants have also benefited from various opportunities and have been equipped with a plethora of skills including skills in Design Thinking, Need finding, Business Modeling and Pitching among others.

We have also supported and exposed several women championed ideas to investors and Venture Capitalist on the continent and from the Silicon Valley over the years. These include innovations like the Bacterial Vagnosis Kit, the PedalTap, the Eco cold Storage facility, the MDEX diagnostic tool that have gone on to win global competitions and grants including the HESN annual Technical Convening and The Big ideas competition.

Here’s to championing the cause of women!

We encourage you to enroll and be a part of the RAN lab’s ongoing opportunities for females.  Check out the 2017 Technovation Challenge (Global) for more information on how to get involved in the competition.
