This month we shall be launching a Social Innovation Call focusing on innovative community-based solutions directed towards improving maternal, newborn and child health care in Uganda. Social innovations engage and mobilize communities to come up with local solutions for the problems they are facing – improving maternal and child health outcomes.
We are searching for new community-based solutions that improve maternal, neonatal and child health care, developed by Ugandans, for Ugandans!
The social Innovation in Health Initiative is a global collaboration of partners who are passionate about advancing community-based solutions in health care. The Makerere University Social Innovation Hub is partnering with the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases Research (TDR) hosted at the World Health Organization (WHO) and co-sponsored by UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank and WHO.
Are you a community organization, health worker, business owner, faculty, student, entrepreneur or government worker who is interested in implementing a solution that makes maternal and child health care more accessible, inclusive, effective or affordable?
We look forward to your participation!
