End line face-to-face session for the Postgraduate Certificate Course in Disaster and Climate Resilience Saturday 6th June 2015 from 8.30 am -2.00pm- ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) office premises, Kololo
The Disaster Climate Resilience distance/online course was successfully implemented by Makerere University through the School of Public Health in partnership with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Office of the Prime Minister. The course ran for a period of 5 months starting January 2015. It is exciting to note that this course actively and successfully engaged 19 practitioners and professionals from Local Government and other practitioners through Online/Distance learning.
The course consisted of the following modules:
- Module1: Climate Science
- Module2: Disaster Risk Management
- Module3: Climate Risk Management
- Module4: Resilience, Why It Matters
To mark completion of the course, ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) in collaboration with Strengthening Leadership in Disaster Resilience Leadership is organising a face to face session to engage the participants in Course evaluation and Participative sharing of knowledge and experiences among the participants through quizzes and panel discussions.
Participants were awarded a Postgraduate Professional Certificate in Disaster and Climate Resilience of Makerere University School of Public Health.
