On Wednesday, January 27th, 2021, the RAN team joined partners from the Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC) and other RTAC and RAN partners in a Webinar. The Webinar Theme was: The Contribution of Higher Education Institutions to Development and Building Resilience in Africa-A Case of ResilientAfrica Network (RAN). This was yet another successful engagement giving us an opportunity to share RAN’s work since inception.  Participants included all our RAN Resilience Innovation Lab Directors who actively engaged in the discussions. Other participants were from several countries including; Uganda, Nigeria, Ethiopia, USA, Bangladesh, Ghana, South Africa and Malawi among others. The presenter Dr. Roy William Mayega, RAN’s Deputy Chief of Party shared in-depth RAN’s activities and processes. The presentation generated an interesting discussion with one participant (a Professor) from the Medical University of South Carolina expressing interest to engage with RAN to further enhance our involvement of diaspora professional organizations in endeavors to strengthen and build resilience. We are following up with this engagement and all other potential collaborations.
