Hello,

Welcome to the Makerere University School of Public Health ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) website!

Knowing that we are all innovators, need to think outside the box and join in the development of solutions through innovation to address communities’ most pressing challenges, we have built Resilience Innovation Lab (RI Lab) Websites to enhance further access and sharing of resources.

To date, we continue to be inspired by the passion and dedication we see in the students, faculty, researchers, other development partners and the community at large to work towards providing solutions to target communities’ most pressing challenges that present as shocks and stresses in form of disasters. You can never underestimate the potential within Universities; Through RAN, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is supporting the process of taking the Universities from the Universities to the communities.

As part of RAN’s commitment to keeping our work easily accessible, we have created four other robust, dynamic and more navigable websites (http://www.sarilab.ranlab.org/, http://www.warilab.org/, http://hoarilab.ranlab.org/ and http://earilab.ranlab.org/ ) with additional resources to support efforts towards further identification, development, incubation, piloting and scaling of innovative solutions. Such solutions are expected to have a positive transformational impact on the communities.

Reflecting on RAN’s long-standing commitment to innovation, learning, knowledge generation, sharing and continuous improvement, we welcome your feedback via info@ranlab.org as we continue to improve these sites. We shall forever remain indebted to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), different Governments in Africa and beyond, RAN Core Partners, Partners, Network plus Partners, innovators, faculty and the community among others for the continued generous support.

I hope you find these Websites a value-add!

Thank you!
